Is a burning smell an emergency?

Yes. Turn off the affected circuit at the panel if you can safely do so and call us right away. If you see smoke or flames, leave the house and call 911.

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Usually the circuit is overloaded, an appliance has a fault, or there is a wiring problem. A breaker that trips is doing its job, so the fix is finding the cause, not replacing the breaker with a bigger one.
