Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Do not see yours? Give us a call.
Do I need a panel upgrade?
You may if breakers trip often, your lights dim when large appliances start, your panel is 100 amps or less, or you are adding a car charger, hot tub, addition, or central air. We can look at your panel and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is needed.
Do you install standby generators?
Yes. We wire emergency standby generators and transfer switches so the circuits you rely on most keep working during an outage. Call us to talk through the size and setup that fits your home.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Fargo-Moorhead area, including Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead, Dilworth, Horace, and nearby communities in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Free estimates are available. Call (701) 371-3931 or send a service request and we will get back to you.
What should I do if I smell burning or see sparks?
If you see smoke or flames, leave the house and call 911. If you smell burning or see sparks, turn off the breaker for that circuit if it is safe to do so, then call us at (701) 371-3931. If the whole street is dark, it is likely a utility outage, so call your power company first. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Do you only work on homes?
Homes are the heart of our work, but we take on most electrical jobs, including new construction, commercial offices, and retail spaces.
Can you work on older homes?
Yes. Older home wiring is one of our specialties. We update aging wiring carefully and to current code while respecting the character of the house.
How do I pay my bill?
You can pay online on our Pay Your Bill page with your invoice number, or call the office and we will help you. Online card payments include a 2.9% plus 30 cent card processing fee, which is shown before you pay.
