Lighting upgrades: common questions

Can you add recessed lights to a finished ceiling?

Usually, yes. Remodel-style recessed lights are made for existing ceilings and go in through small openings. We plan the layout so the light is even and the ceiling stays clean.

Will LED bulbs work with my old dimmer?

Sometimes, but older dimmers can make LEDs flicker or hum. Swapping to an LED-rated dimmer usually fixes it, and we can do that while we are there.
